A pet’s pain and lack of function is the common reason for an owner seeking Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation. This option is drug-free, non surgical and safe. Typically, an animal need only receive three treatments.
Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation is a trademarked technique and technology that locates an area of an animal’s nervous system that is not working properly, and re-establishes neuronal communications to induce healing. Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation was developed in a clinical setting, in response to frustration over ineffective surgical solutions to common veterinary problems. It addresses problems such as lameness; disc disease; progressive myelopathies (in the rear of dogs); urinary and fecal incontinence; unilateral lameness; Wobbler’s Disease; knee diseases; esophageal disease mobility; behavioral issues; endocrine disorders, and more. This method is the culmination of technology gleaned from over 35,000 patients treated for clinical disease.
When a vertebra becomes misaligned or moves out of its normal position, this is referred to in the chiropractic profession as a subluxation. Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation uses a hand-held device call a Spinal Accelerometer, which looks like a spring-loaded doorstop. The device fires at a rate of 1 millisecond, which is 10 times faster than an animal’s ability to resist. This method is quite different from Veterinary-Chiropractic Manipulation in that typically, only 50 percent of domestic animals will completely cooperate with manual chiropractic adjustments as it relies on the typical motion or force that most people are familiar with if they have ever been to a chiropractor.
